Governance · Year 2026

Transparency report 2026

Consom’Action and the associations of the regional network publish every year their independence rules, their funding, the studies carried out and declined, and how your data is protected.

Independence charter

Ten commitments binding Consom’Action and every partner association of the network.

Provisional text, subject to adoption by the governing bodies of the network associations.

  1. Article 1 · Editorial independence

Questionnaires, analysis and the publication of results are the sole responsibility of the association. No funder, sponsor or partner may change their content.

  2. Article 2 · Publication of all public-interest results

Results of public-interest studies are published in full, including when they are unfavourable to a funder or partner.

  3. Article 3 · Funding transparency

Funding sources are published every year by category, with their share of resources. No source may exceed 40% of annual resources without being disclosed.

  4. Article 4 · No conflicts of interest

A study is declined when its sponsor has a direct interest in the result or demands a veto over publication. Declined requests are counted and explained in the annual report.

  5. Article 5 · Public method

The method of every study (population, recruitment, weighting, margin of error, limits) is published with the results and may be audited.

  6. Article 6 · Personal data protection

Respondents’ data is never sold or passed on by name. Only aggregates are published, and every processing operation is declared to the competent national authority.

  7. Article 7 · Separation of activities

Services to companies (mediation, label) are kept separate from the production of public indicators; teams and decisions are distinct.

  8. Article 8 · Federal governance

Each partner association remains in charge of its national publications and takes part in the network’s common decisions with an equal vote.

  9. Article 9 · Right of reply

Any company or institution mentioned has a right of reply published next to the results that concern it.

  10. Article 10 · Review and revision

The charter is assessed every year by an external audit whose conclusions are published; its revision is adopted by the governing bodies of each association.
