Scam: fake Mobile Money agents asking for your PIN

Calls and text messages posing as an operator’s customer service ask you to “validate a transaction” by giving your PIN or dialling a sequence of keys. Several members lost their entire balance.

What should you do?

Never share your PIN, not even with an agent. Hang up and call the official customer service number. Report the suspicious number to your operator and on Consom’Action.
