The association
Founded in Ouagadougou by users tired of having no recourse, Consom'Action is an independent, non-profit association that informs, supports and represents consumers in Burkina Faso.
Who we are
Consom'Action brings together women and men from all walks of life: market traders, teachers, students, civil servants, retirees. We share one conviction: an informed and organised consumer is a respected consumer.
We hold help desks in markets, receive complaints, carry out price surveys and engage with businesses and regulatory authorities. Our independence rests on our members' subscriptions and on a charter that rules out any funding in exchange for a favourable opinion.
Our missions
Practical guides, price surveys and bill breakdowns so you know your rights before you buy or pay.
Listening, guidance and mediation when you face a dispute with a trader, an operator or a public service.
With Consomètre, we gather consumers' experience and publish verifiable data, together with its methodology.
We carry consumers' voice to ministries, regulators (ARCEP, ARSE) and businesses.
